Happy Trails was created in 2000, when Emilie “Dale” Porterie purchased the beautiful 10 acres.  She was mesmerized by its beauty and magnificent view.   The name came about because Dale has always
been a fan of Roy Rogers and “Dale” Evans, “happy trails to you…..” 

Dale has been a horse person since she was a young girl and was able to purchase her first horse when she was in her early twenties.  She has been riding ever since.  She fell in love with the Andalusian horse and
spent many years raising and breeding  and also campaigning under
saddle and halter championships with this magnificent breed.  Dale continues her dream of breeding and raising beautiful horses today at
Happy Trails Horse barn and has opened it up to the public to also enjoy.

We are a small quiet facility but pride ourselves on the nature and beauty that Happy Trails Horse Barn has to offer.   We are located just outside of
Dallas, Oregon and are close to Salt Creek and HWY 22.

We have lesson horses and a children’s pony available if you do not have your own mount.
